Gig Harbor

Less than an hour from Seattle in South Puget Sound, Gig Harbor is the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula.  Choose from an assortment of first-class inns and bed and breakfasts, award-winning dining establishments, year-round arts activities, unlimited recreation opportunities, quaint and historic shopping districts and an authentic maritime history.

Jerisich Park and the adjacent Skansie Brothers Park lie right along the waterfront and offer open grass spaces, decks and benches perfect for a picnic or romantic stroll.  The bronze Fisherman Memorial stands here as a popular landmark and tribute to Gig Harbor’s brave fishermen.  Gig Harbor City Park is a family-friendly option with playgrounds, a baseball diamond, basketball court and tennis courts.

The city’s miles of shoreline and deep water bays make it the ideal destination for diving and boating of all kinds.  Also, take a glimpse back into Gig Harbor's history at the unique Russell Foundation Building, built mostly below ground level to allow visitors to walk directly onto the garden roof to catch broad views of the harbor and exhibits highlighting the city’s heritage.
