Tri-Cities (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland)

The Yakama and Wanapum people welcomed Lewis and Clark on their journey through present-day Tri-Cities, October 16-18, 1805 and Bateman Island marks the furthest point upstream on the Columbia explored by the Corps. Outdoor and water recreation activities are plentiful in the Tri-Cities, located at the confluence of the Snake, Columbia and Yakima Rivers. Visit the Columbia River Exhibition of History, Science and Technology (CREHST) museum for details on the Columbia Basin and surrounding region.
