Our staff is available to assist you. Here are some of the specialized services the Washington State Tourism Office offers to professional travel writers, freelance journalists, travel reporters, editors and TV, radio and film producers:

Press Materials Available Via Ground or Express Mail

  • The Washington State Visitors' Guide 2004, a full-color 138-page reference guide to Washington state's regions, attractions, parks, accommodations, and much more.

  • Story Lines on any number of topic areas, from Adventuring Outdoors, to Snow Country, Mysteries of Washington and Scenic Wonders.

  • Press Releases giving the latest economic and visitor impact data on Washington State, and the latest news from tourism organizations around the state.

Photography

We maintain a Photo Library of a wide variety of action shots, landscape views, and editorial perspectives on many activities and sights in Washington. Images are available to travel journalists and other members of the free press for editorial use, and to travel agencies and tour operators. If you are unsure if you qualify, call 360-725-4177. Requests for images will be processed within 48 hours during regular business days.

If we don't have a photo you seek, we can turn to our network of tourism and travel organizations throughout the state and beyond to find what you are looking for.

We also have a limited capability to assist you in securing b-roll.

Customized Press Trips

Planning a visit? Let us help you design an individually-tailored itinerary. We can recommend well-researched destinations, and arrange your travel on a reduced rate or complimentary basis as our policies allow.

Group Press Trips

The state's Tourism Office organizes a limited number of group press tours for qualifying journalists from key U.S. markets, British Columbia, the UK, France Benelux region, Germany and Japan. Please inquire.
