Alpine Lakes Wilderness

Alpine Lakes Wilderness is located in the scenic Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forests of the central Cascades. The designated wilderness encompasses approximately 394,000 acres accessible by 615 miles of trails. The area gets its name from the nearly 700 small alpine lakes, or tarns, that dot the timbered valleys lying between jagged granite peaks.
