Crystal Springs/Lake Keechelus
With Keechelus Lake on one end, Crystal Springs on the other and the 11.2 kilometer section of the John Wayne Trail running in between, visitors to this area are never short on outdoor fun. Discover this area on the Mountains to Sound Greenway, just after crossing the summit at Snoqualmie Pass.
In the winter, visit the Crystal Springs Sno-Park when the trail transforms to a gentle cross-country trek, perfect for beginners, young skiers and family outings. The trail guides skiers through the forest on a mostly flat, well-graded trail. Keechelus Lake is also a winter playground and is just yards away from the ski lifts at Summit East. In the summertime anglers enjoy fishing for salmon, cutthroat trout and rainbow trout on scenic Keechelus Lake and the easy 11.2 kilometer section of the mammoth 100-mile John Wayne Trail is also a popular day hike though the mountains.
