Wenatchee National Forest

Sagebrush and conifers cover lower elevation slopes, while higher elevations are home to towering Douglas fir. Wild and tempting huckleberry bushes line the mountainsides reaching up to the sparse, rocky peaks above. In the winter months, snow-covered routes closed to motorized traffic become heaven for cross-country skiiers and snowshoers.
