Located at the byway’s southern end, the historic Tiger Store and Post Office was built in 1912, and is the only building remaining in the once thriving community of Tiger, Washington. In 1999 byway residents rallied to save the store from the certain doom that would be brought by another northwest winter. Residents completely renovated the store, which today serves as a regional visitors center, museum and gallery for local artisans.
