Standing proudly on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places, the Kirtland Cutter Theater is a site to see. Built in 1912, as the Metaline Falls School, the building was designed by renowned Spokane architect Kirtland Cutter. In the mid 1990’s the building was restored by community residents and today houses a performing arts center. The building also houses the Metaline Library, and for those interested in the local history, a visit to the Rural Schools Exhibit is a must.
