Boundary Dam

Built in 1967, in one of the most rugged sections of the river, the dam provides more than half of the electricity used by the City of Seattle. The dam offers tours in the summer months and some primitive camp sites are available for those fishing the plentiful supply of rainbow trout found in this section of the Pend Oreille River. Rock walls rise up to 200 feet above the river and elk, bear, deer and other wildlife is often seen along the shoreline.
