Hit the slopes of Mt. Baker for some spring skiing complete with awe-inspiring views of Mt. Baker and the North Cascades.  Visit Mt. Baker Ski Area and discover why it is known as the “birthplace of snowboarding.”  Boasting powder that is second-to-none, it is the home of the world's premier snowboarding competition, the Annual Legendary Banked Slalom.  Although it's been named a top ski area to snowboard in North America, both skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels are welcome.  With an average snowfall of 645 inches each year, it registers more snowfall than any other ski area in North America.

Surrounded by the Mt. Baker Wilderness Area and the North Cascades National Park, the setting of the ski area is one of the most beautiful in the state.  After an exhilarating day on the slopes, the White Salmon Day Lodge is the perfect place to catch your breath. In the skiing off-season, strap on hiking boots and stretch your legs on one of many area trails, taking in the spectacular vistas of soaring peaks in the North Cascades.
