Ebey’s Landing National Historic Reserve

The rural historic district of Ebey's Landing National Historic Reserve preserves the continuous historical essence and record of Puget Sound exploration and settlement since the 19th Century.  The expansive acreage encompasses coastal shoreline, woodlands, sheltered lagoons of Penn Cove and the picturesque Victorian seaport community of Coupeville.

It is truly an exceptional place. The serenity of a century old agricultural past is steadfastly preserved and clearly visible in the landscape. The history of this fertile island haven can be studied or felt or simply inhaled with your eyes as you drive. The meandering farmlands and original buildings only grow in importance as they stand in stark contrast to the malls and subdivisions that prevail in our daily lives. The 25 square mile reserve is a mixture of public and private lands, managed in a way that will preserve its historical essence as future changes to the landscape occur.  For more information, visit the Ebey’s Landing National Historic Reserve website.
