Kalaloch & Olympic Park Beaches

Clam diggers favor these sands, and Seattle Magazine named Kalaloch Beach one of the 10 best places to storm watch.

Separated from the main body of Olympic National Park is a thread of beaches that follow the rocky Pacific shore for nearly 100 miles. The northern part includes more than 60 miles of the last wilderness beaches in the contiguous United States. Just offshore, three separate National Wildlife Refuges help assure the area remains a pristine wilderness. Further south, the byway parallels the beaches of Kalaloch where you can spend the day exploring miles of beaches, rocky cliffs, tide pools and lazy creeks. Accommodations range from rustic cabins at the Kalaloch Lodge to fully equipped campgrounds where you can sit and simply watch the surf ebb and flow.
