Almota

No longer a town, it was submerged when dams were built along the Snake River. It is now a port near the outskirts of Colfax, along the banks of the Snake River. Located on a pre historic Nez Perce Indian site called Allamotin or Almotine which means moonlight fishing or torch light fishing. Nearby Boyer Park offers camping and a marina. Also nearby is Lower Granite Dam.
