White Salmon is the hub for western Klickitat county, with direct access to surrounding recreation: sailboarding, fishing, hiking, whitewater activities, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. The Glockenspiel Bells of White Salmon hang in the clock and bell tower of City Hall. The daily schedule has the bells ringing on the hour from 8 in the morning to 8 in the evening with a medley of tunes at noon and 5 p.m. The program can be customized for special events.
