This comprehensive exhibit, curated by the Washington State Historical Society, is the state's lead activity celebrating the centennial of women obtaining the right to vote in Washington. Through more than 200 artifacts, interactive kiosks and oral histories, it shows how women from various ethnic and economic groups achieved a voice in Washington's public life. Modern artifacts include a space suit worn by astronaut Bonnie Dunbar and memorabilia from notable women in sports.

This 9th annual series explores environmental issues through contemporary films. The diverse views are thought provoking, timely and sometimes humerous.
In the 2007 film King Corn, two college friends move to Iowa to farm an acre of corn – and then follow their corn to see what becomes of it. They examine the impact of the increasing production of corn in America, and learn that the industrialization of corn has all but eliminated the family farm. The film is a humorous and touching commentary on modern food systems and the ubiquitous nature of corn syrup. Popcorn will be served.
