Parks & Recreation Areas

You really couldn’t ask for a place with a greater abundance of beautiful parks and recreation areas than Washington State. Olympic National Park offers temperate, old-growth rainforests, glorious mountain panoramas, beautiful lakes and rivers and more than 70 miles of protected Pacific coastline. Mount Rainier National Park enshrines one of the highest, most scenic peaks in the United States. North Cascades National Park alone contains more than 300 spectacular glaciers. Washington State also offers some 120 state parks and some of the country’s most beautiful national recreation areas, including those at Lake Chelan, Lake Roosevelt and Mount Baker. Wherever you go here, you’re never far from one, and often several, of the state’s beautiful parks and recreation areas.
