Pacific Science Center

No trip to Seattle is complete without a visit to this museum. Since its opening for the 1962 World's Fair, Pacific Science Center has been entertaining and educating visitors of all ages. It was recently named one of America's "25 Most Visited Museums" by ForbesTraveler.com. You can view five buildings of hands-on exhibits, take in live science demonstrations or planetarium shows and catch a screening of a 2D or 3D IMAX® film on the largest screen in town.


Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame

 The one-of-a-kind EMP|SFM tells the story of the creative, innovative and rebellious expression that defines American popular music and explores science fiction's impact on science, art and society.

With an outstanding collection of artifacts, unique architecture by Frank O. Gehry, state-of-the-art technology and exciting interactive presentations, EMP|SFM encourages visitors of all ages and backgrounds to experience the power and joy of music and science fiction in their many forms and to learn something new along the way.

Space Needle
Your adventure begins as the elevators propel you to the Space Needle's Observation Deck, 520 feet above the Seattle metropolis. Every degree of the Observation Deck's 360° view commands your attention, including snow-capped Mount Rainier, the Cascade and Olympic Mountain ranges, Lake Union, Elliot Bay and the skyscrapers of downtown Seattle. The Space Needle is a must-see for all Seattle visitors!

Choose between the SkyCity Restaurant at the top of the Needle or the Turntable Restaurant at the bottom (in the EMP|SMF), or try one of the many fine-dining establishments in Belltown or Queen Anne.

Optional evening activities:
See a laser show at the Pacific Science Center's Laser Dome, a play at one of the eight theaters at the Seattle Center, a ballet or opera performance at McCaw Hall, live sports at the Key Arena, or live music at one of the many nightclubs and bars around the Seattle Center area.

Museum of Flight

Let your dreams and imagination soar as the wonder of flight comes to life at the largest air and space museum in the West. This 12-acre cultural landmark has something for everyone and is recognized as one of the foremost educational air and space museums in the world.

Wander in the Great Gallery to view 30 incredible aircraft that are suspended overhead in full flight attitude. Visit the William E. Boeing Red Barn®, the original manufacturing facility of the Boeing Airplane Company, and learn about the birth of commercial aviation.
Experience the personal stories of World War I and World War II in the Personal Courage Wing. Explore the first Air Force One presidential jet, the West Coast's only supersonic Concorde, the Mach 3 Blackbird spy plane and a whole lot more!
The museum's newest exhibit, Space: Exploring the New Frontier, takes visitors on a truly out-of-this-world experience that will have you landing the Space Shuttle, climbing into a full-size version of the International Space Station's Destiny Module and exploring the Moon's surface with the Apollo astronauts.
 
Seattle's Historic Waterfront
Explore the row of piers and unique shops that line the busy waterfront. And, just a stair climb away, visit the famous Pike Place Market. This public farmers market has drawn tourists and residents alike to its outdoor stalls, vintage arcades, fruit stands and fishmongers for more than 100 years.
 
Tillicum Village
A relaxing boat ride transports you from Seattle's Pier 55 to Blake Island, where you will experience Northwest Native American culture. Dinner is included and consists of an appetizer of steamed clams, followed by salmon cooked on cedar stakes over an open fire. Enjoy your full meal at a shared table in a traditional cedar longhouse, surrounded by Northwest Coast native crafts and artwork.
After you eat, performers enchant you with ceremonial dances, myths and legends of the Northwest Coast native people. Learn about the customs and beliefs of the Pacific Northwest's original inhabitants in this mesmerizing stage show. It’s a rich, vivid experience of a fascinating culture.

Finish off your excursion with free time to explore the beach or admire handicrafts in the gift gallery. Then board your boat for a scenic return to downtown, taking in views of the Olympic Mountains and the Seattle skyline.
