What:
Forty regional artists have paired with Yakima Valley wineries to display their art in the tasting rooms of Yakima Valley / Red Mountain wineries for the month of October. The event will create an artisan’s atmosphere throughout all of wine country. Visitors can sample and purchase wine and art throughout the month of October.
Art pieces include an array of water color, fiber arts, raku pottery, photography, mixed media, sculpture, metal sculpting, glass sculpting, collage, to mention just a few. These art forms will be available for viewing and purchase during the month of October.
Additional Features: Each participating artist will display a one-of-a-kind art piece incorporating cork from his/her partnering winery. All one-of-a-kind pieces will be available for purchase in a month-long auction. These pieces have no criteria – the quality and creativity for this will be a must-see.
The goal of Savor the Art wine and art program is to focus on developing awareness of the wine industry among Pacific Northwest residents, to celebrate the completion (or near completion) of harvest while showcasing the fine art and artists throughout Washington State. This event will highlight the exceptional talent and creativeness of both the art and wine communities in Washington State. Savor the Art will serve as a venue to nurture the development and understanding of diverse art forms, and encourage the breadth of cultural life in the Eastern Washington.
