“A gift-wrapped holiday treat, this "Catechism" should be opened early.” – Los Angeles Times

Nuttier than the Nutcracker and more of a kick than the Rockettes, SISTER’S CHRISTMAS CATECHISM arrives at Kirkland Performance Center December 15 for a limited four show engagement through December 18.

The infamous Sister of LATE NITE CATECHISM is back and on the case, solving the greatest story never told: The Mystery of the Magi’s Gold. Sister’s special forensics tools, an audience-participation living nativity and performances by a local singing group are only part of the fun on this “O’ ho-ho-holy night.”

In this latest addition to the series by creator and author Maripat Donovan, Sister employs techniques from her favorite TV show, Forensic Files, to discover the whereabouts of the Magi’s Gold.

As she points out in her opening, “We know what happened to the myrrh and the frankincense – Mary used them as a sort of potpourri. They were in a barn after all. But who was the culprit who made off with the gold coins and left Mary, Joseph and the infant Jesus in that lousy stable without any chance to upgrade to a suite?”

Forensic tools in hand, Sister creates a living nativity using audience members dressed as the Holy Family, magi, shepherds, sheep, cattle…and of course, an ass. She then sets the stage for the crime by directing a group in songs of the season that are sure to add even more clues to her investigation.

This performance made possible in part by our Artist Sponsors: David & Gail Alskog, G.G. Getz, Lee Johnson Chevrolet, Jindra Rieger
