“The band’s sound remains fresh, its music timeless” - Seattle PI
“It was a night of memorable and touching moments” - Seattle Times of the 2004 Lynyrd Skynryd Concert
As Lynyrd Skynyrd endured, despite all odds, through death and disaster, they have remained the signature rock of America's working people. Skynyrd's ability to constantly rekindle its creative fires year after year is a testament to the indomitable spirit that has surrounded the band since its inception, and has largely defined Lynyrd Skynyrd over the years.
Lynyrd Skynyrd, the working man’s band, show their identities and heritage in their live performances. They are bound by an unflagging determination to blend a Southern life view with the power of amped-up hard rock. With the band's vicious guitar attacks and intricacy in the way the guitarists interlock into one heady, rhythmically tight sound, they are a firepower unlike anything previously heard in a live concert.
“Live shows are really what this band is about,” says guitar legend Gary Rossington of Lynyrd Skynyrd. “We love to play live, there's nothing else like it. We don't know anything else to do. We got it down now, people are enjoying it so were enjoying doing it for ‘em.”
