Who:
Michael Flatley “Celtic Tiger”

When:
Thursday, October 20, 2005 · 8 pm

Where:
Everett Events Center

What:
Less than five years ago, world famous Irish American dancer Michael Flatley hung up his dancing shoes at the height of his career after having completed “Feet of Flames”. After winning over millions of fans across the globe with dance sensations “Riverdance” and “Lord of the Dance,” Michael Flatley is returning with “Celtic Tiger,” as creator and star of the show. The tour is set to hit the stage at the Everett Events Center on October 20, 2005 at 8 pm.

“Celtic Tiger” is a powerful ninety-minute performance broken up into two acts which tells the story of the resilience of the Irish people throughout time. With “Celtic Tiger,” Michael Flatley sets out to dramatize the spirit of Ireland and its history through the use of powerful imagery, dynamic music and dancing that once again pushes the boundaries of traditional dance.

Michael and his cast of sixty dancers who excel in the art of precision, skill and movement take “Celtic Tiger” to a heightened level of performance. With breathtaking special effects, this new production appears as not quite a stage show and not quite a feature film, but somewhere in between. Controversial and explosive, Michael’s choreography sets new standards in stage presentation. Audiences will find that “Celtic Tiger” and its musical score are quantum leaps forward in an arena scale theatrical production. The 10,000-seat venue hosts a myriad of events including concerts, rodeos, ice skating and family shows. The Everett Events Center is also home to the Everett Silvertips, a Western Hockey League franchise, and the Everett Hawks, ArenaFootball2 League team. The venue accommodates other sporting events such as basketball, volleyball, wrestling and gymnastics.

The Comcast Community Ice Rink is used for public skating, local hockey leagues and much more. The two ice sheets can be converted to form a 57,000 square foot space to host trade shows and special events. The three-story Conference Center includes three 900 square foot executive meeting rooms, a 12,000 square foot ballroom, which can be arranged in a number of different configurations.

Global Spectrum (global-spectrum.com), the fastest growing firm in the public assembly facility management field, has more than 45 facilities throughout the United States and Canada. The Philadelphia-based company is part of one of the world's largest sports and entertainment firms Comcast-Spectacor.
