Dominated by majestic Mt. Rainier at every turn, this designated All American Road traces a historic trading route over the Cascade Mountains between Enumclaw and Naches. Chinook Pass at 5,430 feet, marks a dramatic change in the landscape, dividing the dense cedar and fir forests on the west side of Cascades from the massive basalt cliffs of the Columbia Plateau on the east side.
